Eduardo Matysiak / Estadão ContentsPele regretted the death of his brother

Pelé spoke about the death of Zoca, his younger brother, who died last Wednesday (25), at the age of 77, after fighting a prostate cancer. Through his social networks, the King of Football mourned the loss.

“With a lot of sadness in my heart, I inform you that my beloved brother Jair Arantes do Nascimento passed away tonight, in Santos, in the hospital where he was being treated for complications in his prostate, where he had been treating cancer for over a year. May God receive you in heaven and console our family, ”he wrote.

Earlier, through Twitter, Santos also commented via Twitter. “Jair Arantes do Nascimento, Zoca, brother of our King, passed away this Wednesday night, at the age of 77. Zoca even performed at Peixão's base when he was younger. Feelings to our idol Pelé and all his dear family. Rest in peace, Zoca. Thanks for everything!”

Two years younger than Pelé, Zoca also tried his career in football, but he was nowhere near as successful as the King. He even got to wear the colors of Peixe in 1960, but scored only 4 goals in 15 matches and ended up leaving the world of ball.
