Vehicle inspection stations were added to the measures taken to prevent the spread of the coronavirus epidemic.
Recently, the Ministry of Interior sent the decision taken to vehicle inspection stations to the governorships of 81 provinces.
With the Ministry's aforementioned circular, inspections of motor vehicle owners who are 65 years and older and whose curfews are restricted / prohibited due to their chronic illnesses have been postponed after the date of the curfew.
CALL OFF 14 DAYS!
However, it was claimed that this decision of the ministry was insufficient. Yesterday, more than 10 tweets were posted on the social media platform Twitter on # vehicle-inspection14 days about vehicle inspection stations.
Participants who shared the photos they claimed were taken at various vehicle inspection stations stated that the health of both employees and vehicle owners was put at risk.
POSTED FOR 65 YEARS AND OVER
In the circular sent by the Ministry of Internal Affairs for over 65 years of age, these citizens, who are extremely risky to prevent the spread of the epidemic and to go out in terms of their own health, are of great importance in order to combat the epidemic, and therefore go out on the streets due to their chronic illnesses with 65 and over. It is stated that the owners of the restricted / banned motor vehicles have been postponed after the date when the curfew was announced.
- Also, those within this scope will be able to have vehicle inspections within the scope of Article 34 of the Highway Traffic Law up to 45 days after the prohibition of vehicle inspections is lifted.
Our Ministry is in this scope in line with the provisions of the legislation in question. He requested that no criminal proceedings be imposed and that the decisions should not be caused by any traffic victimization.
