Humorist Maurício Meirelles now has a special on Netflix to call his own. The streaming service debuted last Thursday (16) the special “: Taking Chaos ”. The show that now arrives in the streaming giant's catalog has already passed through more than 170 cities in Brazil. In São Paulo alone, the show's season at the Renaissance Theater had around 80 performances. The comedian also took his show abroad, having performed in the United States (Boston and Orlando) and Portugal (Cascais, Coimbra, Estoril, Faro, Lousada and Porto).
More than 75,000 people have seen the show. Now the show directed by Diego Pignataro and with a screenplay by Maurício Meirelles wins the world through Netflix. The presentation that is shown on Netflix took place in November last year at the Teatro Prevent Senior - Instituto Tomie Ohtake, in the capital of São Paulo.
The comedian declared that having a show on the streaming service is a dream come true, for him, the wide reach, and the large number of subscribers to the streaming platform will increase the visibility of the humorist's work and his jokes, said Meirelles.
The comedian also stated that when he first went up on stage to present his stand-up, more than 10 years ago, he did not imagine arriving at where he is now.
For those who do not know the artist, or are not remembering, Meirelles is a comedian of 36 years and who has a career of more than 12 years. He has a degree in Advertising and is also a writer and has also worked as a reporter and is still a guitarist.
At he became known on the CQC program, he also participated in the Pânico na Band Program and worked on Rede Globo's Video Show. In addition to doing his stand up shows, he is successful on social networks with his Webbullying, in which he uses social networks from and anonymous to send fake messages.
In the Netflix special, Maurício Meirelles took no more than 60 minutes to bring the public jokes about topics in his personal life such as: marriage, the arrival of his first child and how he feels with the passage of time.
He also talks about topics like feminism, the polarization between right and left and several other subjects. At the end of the show he takes his wife and together they tell a fun story of what the couple's honeymoon was like in Thailand.
Maurício Meirelles currently works at Rádio Jovem Pan, where he is with Renato Albani on the program Stand Up Jovem Pan, every Monday. Because of the quarantine he started the project on his YouTube channel entitled Stand-Up at Home, in which he writes texts inspired by his wife, his 2-year-old son and his dog, because now the comedian is prevented from performing in theaters .
