There will not be some Star Wars Rebels year five based on series creator Dave Filoni. Familiar faces like Princess Leia, Mon Mothma, Emperor Palpatine, and Darth Vader all looked from the Star Wars animated series during its run. Still, the show’s most important market was always its principal cast of fresh, vital players. Yet, fans were spent in their collective and personal stories.

The Ghost Crew successfully shielded Lothal from the Empire headed by Grand Admiral Thrawn. The series’ end, but left some questions hanging, which comprised that the unknown whereabouts of Ezra Bridger, who vanished with the protagonist to make sure he will not have the ability to wreak some more havoc in his homeworld. Following a Substantial time leap onto the heels of the Empire’s defeat in Return of the Jedi, Ahsoka and Sabine went to a mission to Find the lost Jedi. Amidst the story opportunity introduced, Filoni says that he has no plans to get a Star Wars Rebels period 5.

The show creator did not mince words, also stated that he does not have any intention of releasing a second outing for its Disney XD animated series. He clarified it advised the entire story he planned, so there is no reason for the excess year.

While Filoni efficiently shot down any odds of Star Wars Rebels year 5, that does not mean fans will not find some of the rest of the characters in the show in different endeavors. For starters, Ahsoka Tano has allegedly confirmed for a look in The Mandalorian year two. Because the Disney+ string has been set years following Return of the Jedi, it could shed light on what happened to their search efforts for Ezra. Now, there is no word yet if Sabine or Ezra will also be involved with the Pedro Pascal-led show. No matter Ahsoka’s reemergence could supply fans with a few answers concerning the lingering questions from Star Wars Rebels. Maybe, this may even be a springboard to get a spinoff series for her or some of the living characters in the active job.

Star Wars Rebels did leave a few unresolved plot lines, but Filoni is correct, there is no demand for a year 5. The series wrapped up the Ghost Crew’s collective experiences. How in which the series left matters, future stories comprising any of those characters need to be in the kind of an off-shoot – if that revolves around Sabine and Ahsoka searching to get Ezra or Hera increasing her and Kanan’s son, Jacen. Whatever the case, fans will be delighted in almost any capacity they view members of their Ghost Crew back on display at Star Wars Rebels.
